Crusheen welcomes Music Generation

Music Generation Clare is a performance music education service for children and young people
in County Clare. The National School Programme aims to compliment the national school music curriculum through active music making in the classroom. Staring on Tuesday 17th September and continuing for 25 weeks on each Tuesday Dermot from Music General will deliver the programme. The whole school, parents and teachers will experience the confidence that music brings out of the children and will give a great love of music

On Monday 23rd September Bricí Spraoi the imaginary playground visited out school for one week. The imagination playground involved building with a varied selection of blocks, noodles and balls. The pupils were divided into groups to have fun, play, design and be creative. During the play sessions pupils were encouraged to talk about their idea as a group and to build together. Some of the many benefits that pupils took away were:
1. Communication
2. Developing confidence through teamwork.
3. Problem solving
4. Development of imaginative skills.
5. Teamwork Oral language
6. Good behavioural social skills
7. Developing their imagination.

The school will close on Friday 22nd December 2023 at 12:30pm and will re-open on Monday 8th January 2024.
Mid Term Closure
The school will close on Monday 5th February 2024
The school will close on Thursday 15th February and Friday 16th February 2024
March & Easter Closures
The school will close on Monday 18th March, 2024.
The school will close on Friday 22nd March 2024 at 12:30 pm and will re-open on Monday 8th April 2024.
May Closures
The school will close on Monday 6th May 2024
The school will close on Friday 31st May 2024
June Closures
The school will close on Monday 3rd June and Tuesday 4th June 2024 and will re-open on Wednesday 5th June 2024.
Summer Closures
The school will close to pupils on Wednesday 26th June 2024 at 12:30pm.
