To select our Active School Committee, each child from 1st - 6th completed homework outlining why they should be chosen for the committee. It was a difficult task to choose representatives from each class and the following is a list of members:
1st Class - Sadhbh O' Donovan
2nd Class - Jamie Keehan
3rd Class - Aimee Colleran
4th Class - Roan Ketelaar
5th Class - Tom Tynan & Caoimhe Clancy
6th Class - Eoghan McMahon & Mary Hanrahan
Some of the suggestions proposed by these pupils in their homework included:
- setting up a Mini Olympics
-time table yard areas to make sure boys/girls get equal time on courts
-starting a walk & talk initiative
-trying new sports
-taking part in Operation Transformation
-buying new PE equipment
-visiting local parks & woods
-suggestion box
The children have great ideas and we are looking forward to continuing to promote being active in our school!
