 Annual Bake Sale Fundraiser – May 2026 The Student Council was delighted to organise our Annual Bake Sale Fundraiser in Crusheen Community Centre on 18th May 2026. The fundraiser aimed to help subsidise the cost of buses for school tours. Thanks to the generosity of pupils, parents, guardians and staff, a wonderful selection of homemade treats was available for everyone to enjoy. Throughout the day, classes visited the Community Centre to choose from the delicious baked goods on display. The event was a great success and created a wonderful sense of community within the school. The Student Council would like to thank everyone who contributed baked goods, made donations, and supported the event. Your generosity helped make the fundraiser a memorable and successful occasion.

Friendship Week 2026 In January and February 2026, the Student Council worked closely with staff to help plan Friendship Week, which took place from 16th–18th February. Representatives gathered ideas from their classes and brought these suggestions to Student Council meetings. Some of the ideas included:
One of the highlights of the week was the creation of a beautiful Friendship Flower Garden display. The display reminded us that every member of our school community is valued and important. Throughout Friendship Week, pupils explored the importance of friendship, kindness, inclusion and supporting one another. We learned that small acts of kindness can make a big difference and that everyone has a role to play in creating a welcoming school environment. 10 Ways to Make Friends 1. Listen – really listen. 2. Be yourself. 3. Smile. 4. Always be respectful. 5. Go out of your way to help others. 6. Tell the truth. 7. Say hello. 8. Stand tall and be confident. 9. Look up and be approachable. 10. Say thank you. These simple actions help build strong friendships and create a positive school community. Student Council Launch – November 2025 The newly elected Student Council held its first meeting on 20th November 2025 with Mrs O'Leary. During this meeting, members were assigned their roles and began planning activities for the school year ahead. Shortly afterwards, council members visited classrooms to gather ideas from pupils about fun and inclusive Christmas activities. Students shared many creative suggestions, which were discussed at a follow-up Student Council meeting and passed on to school management and class teachers for consideration. This was an excellent example of the Student Council representing pupil voices and helping to bring student ideas to life.  "Your Voice Matters – Together We Can Make a Difference!"
