Parents' Association
The Crusheen Parents' Association is a dedicated group of parents and guardians who play a vital role in supporting our school community. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful Parents' Association whose commitment and enthusiasm make a meaningful difference to school life. The association acts as a voice for parents, communicating their views and perspectives to the Board of Management and Principal, helping to enhance students educational experience and overall wellbeing. They work closely with parents, teachers and the wider community, The Parents' Association is often consulted on school policies and it plays an active role in organising events that raise valuable funds for school resources, facilities and local community initiatives. |
Schoolbooks Scheme
Our school participates in the Primary Schoolbooks Scheme, funded by the Department of Education. Under this scheme, all pupils receive their schoolbooks, workbooks and copybooks free of charge. Books are provided at the start of the school year and may be brought home for homework. All books remain the property of the school and must be returned in good condition at the end of the school year. Families are not charged for these items, and pupils are expected to take good care of all books. |

Aladdin Connect
Aladdin Connect is used by Irish primary schools to securely communicate and share information with parents/guardians. Crusheen National School uses this service.
Aladdin Connect is used for a variety of purposes in our school:
Aladdin Connect is accessed via a secure login. You sign in securely to Aladdin Connect from your computer, laptop or smartphone. We send new parents an access code so you can register with Aladdin Connect along with a letter outlining the steps to get connected. Then you can download the Aladdin Schools Connect app to receive instant notifications from the school and to have convenient and secure access to your child’s information from your mobile device.
Aladdin Connect is a fantastic way to enhance communication with parents and helps you to stay connected and informed about your child’s education.

Traffic Management at School

Working Together for Safety
We understand that school drop-offs and pick-ups can be busy and sometimes stressful. However, we all share a responsibility to ensure the safety of every child in our care. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in helping to make our school a safer place for everyone.
If someone else regularly drops off or collects your child/children, please make sure this information is shared with them.

How You Can Help
Please follow these simple guidelines to help keep all children safe:
- Drive carefully and always obey speed limits.
- Park so your child can exit the car on the footpath side, away from traffic.
- Stay alert to children around your vehicle, especially at the sides and behind, when parking, dropping off, or moving off.
- Park responsibly—avoid blocking traffic flow or access for emergency vehicles (do not double park).
- Never stop or park on yellow zigzag lines.
- Do not park in a way that blocks the school entrance or exit, residents’ driveways, or junctions.
- Avoid parking at bus stops or in private parking spaces.

Allianz Ireland has been providing Pupil Personal Accident Insurance to schools across Ireland since the mid-1980s.
Pupil Personal Accident Insurance is a benefits-based policy that provides cover for medical and dental expenses following an accident.
Cover Options
School Activities Only
Provides cover for pupils while participating in school activities that take place with the full knowledge and authority of the school, including direct travel to and from such activities.
24-Hour Cover
In addition to “School Activities Only” cover, this option extends protection to include social, domestic, and leisure activities—24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This level of cover is strongly recommended.
