We are making great efforts to speak Irish throughout our day. We take part in conversation pair-work in our classroom. We love speaking Irish! We enjoyed looking for 'Number 2' around our school grounds.
We worked in pairs and we located two yellow semi-circles, two brown gates, two pebbles, two straight lines, two numbered hopscotch, two white doors and two leaves! We love using our imaginations to create interesting stories on Storybird.
Great to hear lots of oral language work in Juniors! Thanks to our chaplain, Josephine, who dropped in to see us today and taught us about Our Lady. We looked at a video of Our Lady who appeared to three children in Portugal. She also brought along a large statue of Our Lady of Knock to show us. Finally, Josephine gave us all our own rosary beads.
Thank you Josephine! Tá sé ag cur sneachta. (It is snowing)
Seo fear sneachta. (This is a snowman) Tá hata air. (He is wearing a hat) Tá scairf air. (He is wearing a scarf) Tá súile air. (He has eyes) Tá béal air. (He has a mouth) Tá cnaipí air.
