5th & 6th classes have done some excellent art work of late, developing their drawing and painting skills! Here are but a few examples.
Many thanks to Ms Aisling Murphy who did yoga with our pupils in 5th & 6th classes this week. Pupils greatly enjoyed the experience and are eagerly looking forward to their next session!! Well done to our brilliant girls in 5th & 6th classes who won the St Flannan's College Camogie Blitz yesterday. 17 schools from all over Clare took part in the 8 a-side competition. The girls had good wins over Quin, Ennis National School, Inagh, Clonmoney and Kilmurray along the way. The boys also gave a good account of themselves on the day in their competition with a good win over Inagh and competitive games against Quin, Ennis National School, and Gaelscoil Mhíchíl Cíosóg. As part of Science week 5th & 6th classes visited the annual science exhibition held in University of Limerick. Pupils greatly enjoyed the "Secrets of SuperHero Science" talk held by Dr. Barry Fitzgerald. What science did Tony Stark need to develop the incredible Iron Man suit? What is the science behind Sue Storm's power of invisibility? Will we ever be able to self-heal as quickly as Wolverine? Are we ready for a super-future? These were some of the topics and questions explored with pupils greatly enjoying the experience. |
