To select our Active School Committee, each child from 1st - 6th completed homework outlining why they should be chosen for the committee. It was a difficult task to choose representatives from each class and the following is a list of members:
1st Class - Sadhbh O' Donovan 2nd Class - Jamie Keehan 3rd Class - Aimee Colleran 4th Class - Roan Ketelaar 5th Class - Tom Tynan & Caoimhe Clancy 6th Class - Eoghan McMahon & Mary Hanrahan Some of the suggestions proposed by these pupils in their homework included: - setting up a Mini Olympics -time table yard areas to make sure boys/girls get equal time on courts -starting a walk & talk initiative -trying new sports -taking part in Operation Transformation -buying new PE equipment -visiting local parks & woods -suggestion box The children have great ideas and we are looking forward to continuing to promote being active in our school!

These kinds of activities are considered very healthy and good for the mental and physical health of the school children. The administration and authoritative bodies of the school should arrange such kind of extra-curricular activities on the frequent basis.
