This week, Ms. Perill taught us a lot about colours. We learned about primary, secondary and tertiary colours. We also looked at the art of David Hockney who uses colours effectively in his landscapes. We were inspired by his work to paint our own landscapes.

Third & fourth classes worked in pairs and small groups to come up with handshakes. They had great fun creating them and everyone enjoyed watching each other showing them to the class!
As part of our Science this month, we have been learning about Irish plants and animals. We have also been learning about biodiversity and the importance of protecting our environment. Each pupil chose an animal to study and they presented these projects to the class. Well done everyone!
During the month of November, 3rd & 4th were learning about Native American People in history. We read the story, "Brother Eagle, Sister Sky" which showed us the importance of the environment, animals and nature in the lives of native Americans. We listened to some stories that have been passed down through generations which showed us how stories were used to teach people about morals. We also made dreamcatchers and painted some pictures of their homes.
For our art this week, we took inspiration from the beautiful green fields around us which are full of lovely lambs as the season of spring is upon us!
