In 5th class, we were looking at and discussing the work of Andy Goldsworthy who creates nature sculptures and land art. We then went outside to create our very own nature sculptures!
In 5th class we have been talking a lot about our new rules in school to keep us safe from Covid 19. We have been talking about how school is different this year and what we can and can’t do in school now.
We have also been talking about how important it is to keep our distance in school and stay within our pods and bubbles.
We have also been practicing good hand hygiene throughout the day.
We are very excited to be back and can't wait to see what the new year brings!!
Many thanks to Dermot and Oisín who were teaching 5th & 6th classes the names of the different parts to the drum-kit during our Music Generation class. We enjoyed having a go playing the drums with Dermot also!
Well done to 5th & 6th classes who performed their very own version of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol' on Friday the 13th of December. Pupils performed admirably and many thanks to all who helped out in the intensive preparations and who were able to attend on the day. We hope you enjoyed it!
This year, 2019 saw Scoil Náisúinta Inse Chronáin celebrate its 40th Anniversary Year. We celebrated this very important milestone, during the week of 2nd to 6th December. We had some special guest teachers who had taught in the school in the past and who were only delighted to give us a lovely history presentation of our school over the past 40 years. The pupils enjoyed listening, learning and asking questions about the 40 years of the school. We had lots of information gathered from old rolla books to old photos of staff and pupils over the past 40 years. Thank you to our guests for a lovely afternoon.
Well done to both our boys and girls in 5th and 6th classes who competed in the annual St. Flannan's College Hurling & camogie blitzes respectively.
