Senior Infants put on a spectacular performance of Ralph the Reindeer. Well done to all the boys and girls who practiced very hard learning their lines and songs, in the weeks leading up to show. A big thank you to Denise Greene who transformed our reindeer and elves with some wonderful face painting.
The boys and girls in Senior Infants and First Class were delighted with a visit from The Irish Navy. Clodagh's dad came in on Monday and told us all about ships in the navy. He showed us many wonderful pictures of the many countries that are helped by The Irish Navy. He told us all about the seas around Ireland and we learned how important it is to keep up swimming lessons to become safe swimmers. Everyone got pictures of the ships to take home. Thank you to Clodagh's dad for a fantastic visit!!

In English we made rice krispie buns and wrote all about the procedure.
In poetry we discussed "The Dentist and the Crocodile" which the children loved and which also linked to our SPHE lesson on caring for our teeth! We learned how important it is to take care of our teeth especially after all the chocolate treats!.
In our music lesson we listened to and responded to the "Oompa Loompa song" from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Malachy's Grandmother had very kindly left some treats for everyone which was a lovely supriseand we were all very thankful.
