.Third and Fourth classes had a wonderful time at Clare Museum in Ennis. We met two sean nós singers Ellie Marie O' Dwyer from Freemount Co. Cork and Liam Flanagan from Corofin. They told us stories about emigration and the famine. Every song tells a story and we listened to some of these songs sung by Ellie Marie and Liam, The Chapel Gates of Cooraclare, The Green hills of Clare and Its a Long, Long way. We also learned a new song called Thousands are Sailing
A wonderful night was held in St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral last night at the Seinn Na Nóg concert. Forty pupils from Crusheen National School performed a variety of traditional tunes and hymns. This annual event celebrates our traditional Irish and music and is a project which the children at Crusheen NS have thoroughly enjoyed. Sincere thank you to all the parents who attended the concert last night.
