There was great excitement in our classroom when we dressed up as our favourite book characters! We guessed who everyone was and we showed our lovely costumes to the whole school. We had a fantastic day!

We are enjoying our hurling training sessions with Ronan and his team. We are working on our skills and we are improving a lot each week.
We are monitoring the growth of our cress seeds daily. We make sure they have enough water and a good source of light in order to grow.
We were excited to see the Red Cross ambulance at our school today!
The Red Cross visited us to tell us about the work they do. We all got to hop aboard the ambulance. We counted all the stretchers and we looked for the oxygen ports. We heard the special ambulance siren and we learnt the emergency phone numbers to use in case of an emergency. We love when 3rd class visit us for our Buddy Reading sessions.
We are learning lots of new vocabulary from listening and chatting about the stories. We have been busy exploring the theme of 'Spring' in our Aistear sessions. Thanks to Caroline and Geraldine for helping us with the potato tulip prints and sowing the seeds! We had great fun! We loved learning about the life cycle of the frog.
Here are some of our frogs and diagrams showing the life cycle in action. |
