Our teddies were thrilled to come to school with us for the Teddy Bear Picnic. They enjoyed the sunshine and loved sitting with us as we ate our healthy lunches!
We are getting really good at understanding number. We partition and combine our toy animals to learn what makes up the number in different ways.
Thanks to Joe from Senior Infants who brought a bird's nest to our classroom for us to view. He told us that his uncle found the nest in his shed and that it hadn't been used by the birds in a long time. We were very careful not to disturb the nest but we did get a great opportunity to view all the work the bird's did to make this nest.
Our Aistear sessions this month are all about 'The Garden Centre'. We are learning in the Garden shop how to use money to buy gardening items. We have made colourful flowers from paper. We have also begun planting cress seeds. We planted some flower seeds which we brought in from home. We are taking great care of our pots and watering our seeds daily. We are also looking after the plants that Tomas' Mammy brought us in for 'The Garden Centre'. It is great fun playing and learning in 'The Garden Centre'!
