CRUSHEEN NATIONAL SCHOOL |
We are concluding our study on the theme of the dentist in our Aistear sessions.
Thanks to Ryan V. who supplied us with a lovely book all about visiting the dentist. We made teeth and gums from playdough and some teeth were even given fillings in the process! Thanks to Mark who visited our classroom today, where we worked with wood. Our heritage and locality are full of trees. We discussed the different variety of trees and how some hats around the world are made from parts of a tree. We got to work with the wood and produced lots of interesting faces with nails and hammers! We had good fun!
We are collecting Aldi stickers to be entered into a draw for primary schools nationwide. Thanks to those who brought in stickers so far for the poster!
Let's keep it going...! We are learning about good dental hygiene during our Aistear sessions on the theme of 'The Dentist'. Here we are with our dental hygiene awareness hats reminding everyone to brush and floss regularly!
Thanks to Josephine who told us a lovely story- The Parable of the Pearl (The Pearl of Great Price). We enjoyed the session where we engaged with the parable, played with the materials, undertook some artwork, revised our prayers and finished with the feast!
Lately, we have been examining forces. in our environment.
One of our experiments examined how the gradient affects the distance travelled by the car. |
