We all got to sample some foods from the food pyramid as part of our S.P.H.E and Aistear lessons. We then described whether we liked or disliked the taste of each food.
Thanks to Jamie who visited our classroom today. As we are examining artefacts over the coming months he brought us in an original piece of the Berlin wall that his Mum was given. He also brought in a very old coin dating from the 16th century! Thanks Jamie for teaching us about the past!
Today we discussed times in our lives when we say 'Thank You' to others; times when we use the word 'Please' and also times when we say 'I'm sorry' to others.
We thanked God for Crusheen National School and we drew pictures of our favourite activities that we like to do at school!
We are celebrating Catholic Schools Week.
We held a lighted candle today and we prayed for our families. We are looking forward to celebrating Catholic Schools Week 2019 with our classmates from Monday 28th January to Friday February 1st.
Thanks to Catherine from the Road Safety Authority for coming to talk to us all about road safety.
We learnt lots of ways to keep ourselves and others safe on the roads. As we are focusing on creating healthy lifestyles, we are enjoying our fitness routines in our lining up areas every day.
Thanks to Ms. Wylde and our many leaders who engage us daily in energetic exercises! |
