We were delighted to invite local man and Clare Education Centre Science advisor, Michael Browne to our classroom. He showed us many experiments on air and water as well as floating and sinking. We really enjoyed engaging with the materials and undertaking the experiments! Third class come to visit us regularly for 'Buddy Reading'. We love listening to our 'Buddy readers' and answering questions based on the stories. We welcomed Ms. Wylde's classes to our room. They performed their Reader's Theatre for us. We listened carefully and enjoyed their theatre piece.

With the Winter upon us, we decided to make some bird-meal for the hungry birds. We mixed it up in the classroom and put in into small pots. We hung the bird-meal on the trees near our school garden. The birds were thrilled with their tasty food!
We have been learning all about our teeth in our Aistear sessions. We visited the dentist and learnt about the different types of teeth. We made teeth and gums from playdough and we constructed the surgery with various sizes of blocks. We looked at books that told us all about healthy eating and how to take care of our teeth. The dentist showed us the correct way to brush our teeth! |
