We have been working on computational thinking concepts using Bee- Bots. We are developing simple programming skills through group work.
We welcomed local storyteller, Eddie Lenihan, to our classroom. We enjoyed listening to his stories and we asked him lots of questions! Thank you, Eddie.
We revised how to keep safe on the internet on February 11th. This day was marked as Safer Internet Day 2020. We discussed an educational power-point on the benefits and also the dangers of the Internet. We completed a quiz and made Safer Internet Day hats to highlight our message to our friends and families.
We were introduced to the clarinet by Celia, a visiting musician, as part of our Music Generation class. We saw how it was assembled and we listened and responded to various genres of music played by Celia who was accompanied on the bodhrán, by Dermot!
We have been busy learning how to make St. Brigid's crosses. During the week we took a trip to the Clare Museum to hear all about St. Brigid from local storyteller, Ruth Marshall.

Dermot brought in a didgeridoo to show us during our Music Generation class. We learnt all about it and how it is played. Dermot showed us some famous didgeridoo players on the internet and we got to hear the distinctive sound the instrument makes! Thank you Dermot!
